Our restaurant, Banned Access, is located in the center of Leiden, on the outer bend of the Rapenburg. We are a cosy, informal restaurant that sees a challenge in bringing high hospitality and quality for a reasonable price. With our extensive wine list and broad French cuisine, we have made a name for ourselves in Leiden over the past 30 years and we are now on #4 of the best restaurants in Leiden (TripAdvisor, 2022).

Floor manager/First employee service
38 hours, from €2,400 – €2,600
As a manager in our team, you have a role in managing our part-time employees, thinking about and implementing improvements to our service, our range, our communications to the outside world and everything else that comes with the restaurant. In the afternoon the work consists of preparing the restaurant for the evening to come. We then eat together, after which we give our guests a pleasant dining experience with a maximum of 5 colleagues at the front. Afterwards there will of course be some discussion or catching up while enjoying a closing drink. We enjoy involving you in everything that happens and giving you responsibilities that you seek and enjoy. Interest in the wines, beers and dishes is important and we encourage you to exhaust this interest!
What do we offer?

Independent working cook
38 hours, from €2,500 per month
We are looking for an independent working cook for our cozy, close-knit team. Someone who is enthusiastic and not yet finished learning. Someone who likes to be involved in the ins and outs of the kitchen and who is looking for variety in his work.
In your position, together with the small and close-knit kitchen team, you ensure that fun, neat and, above all, tasty dishes are served time and again. Creativity, networking and good time planning are of high priority here.

Part-time employee serving/washing up
An ideal side job during your studies! In consultation you work 1 or 2 fixed days, with the option to work more when you want.
We pay in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement scale V. This is 4 scales higher than the normal Collective Labor Agreement for the hospitality industry. With a little tip, a very nice extra income.
Experience is an advantage, enthusiasm and being able to deal with many different people is a must!
